The picture below is a smaller 'preview' version of the actual directions map. To allow you to view or print the full-sized map, it is available to download below in a chioce of two different formats - a Microsoft Word Document or a Jpg Picture.

Whichever you choose, it is very important (for the sake of the map's readability) that you download (save) the map onto your computer and then view that saved copy, rather than opening it directly from this website. If you are unsure of how to do this, please see the instructions at the bottom of this page.

Instructions for downloading the map

I am assuming that your computer has the software 'Internet Explorer' and 'Windows XP'. If it doesn't, these instructions may not apply word-for-word, but the process will be very similar. If you don't know whether or not your computer has this software, don't worry - just try following the instructions.

  1. Using the mouse, RIGHT-CLICK on "Microsoft Word Document" just above the map on this page.
A menu of different options will appear on the screen.
  2. LEFT-CLICK on "Save Target As..." in that menu.
A box (titled 'Save As') will appear on the screen.
  3. LEFT-CLICK on the "Save" button at the bottom right of that box.
A different box will appear, telling you how far through the process of downloading (saving) the map your computer currently is. If you have broadband, the download could be so fast that it appears to have completed 'instantly' as soon as the box appeared. If you don't have broadband, the box could take a minute or so before telling you that the download is complete. When it is complete:
  4. LEFT-CLICK on the "Open" button at the bottom left of the newest box.
The full-sized map for finding Lawrence Villa will appear on the screen - your computer is using the program 'Microsoft Word' to show it to you. You can then print the map if you need to, in the same way that you would print any document in 'Word'. It is best to set your printer to at least a medium print quality, for the sake of the map's readability.

If you carry out step 4 but your computer doesn't show you the map, then your computer doesn't have the program 'Microsoft Word' (or any other suitable word processor). In this case, carry out the instructions again exactly as above, but using "Picture (Jpg format)" in step 1, instead of "Microsoft Word Document".
